Day 18

Odds and Ends

+ Yesterday I saw two monks get out of a minivan and go to Coldstone. (I was sitting at the Starbucks next door.) I suppose they were Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word. I guess it’s God’s work to produce TV shows, right?

+ Lexi turns TWO Saturday. I can’t believe it!

+ I do want to write about Into the Wild, someone remind me.

+ My sleep has definitely improved since I’ve been on medication (about three weeks now.) It’s nice to not wake up feeling exhausted every morning. At first my pain felt much more acute, as if I were in a fog of tiredness, and not being as tired meant I was more in tune to my pain. But, it’s now normalized a little bit. I am still in near constant pain, but it’s not as sharp or severe as it was a few weeks ago.

+ I have 19 application requests on facebook and I just cleared my cache a few weeks ago. STOP THE MADNESS!

Day 17

17/25
Lights on our tree.

Maffly-Kipp on Mitt

My former professor wrote an article for The Christian Century called “A Mormon President?” that’s worth checking out. Laura Leigh and I took her senior/grad seminar on Mormonism.

Around the Web

Rob Bell was profiled in Time. I need to listen to more of his sermons, I’ve got some interesting thoughts percolating.

Are you are conspiring this Advent? I’ve been really excited about buying more handmade gifts, spending less and participating in this movement in small ways.

If you were moved by the story of Dr. Jonah Kule, World Harvest has a fund for his widow and orphans.
