Day 10

10/25
Making a Christmas Card

“I Will Not Take These Things For Granted”

Parties to attend and cards to design, on top of lessons to plan and papers to grade means I still have not finished Christmas dresses. I MUST do that this week. Lucky for me, my sweet sister is coming for a few days, and that, among other things, is a glimmer of hope. And I don’t take hope for granted.

I got a sweet gift yesterday, the sort of thing that showed me someone was thinking of me, and I don’t take that for granted either.

Day 9

9/25

Day 8

8/25
I took some pictures of a friend’s family today, this one tickled me.

Day 7

7/25
Watching the Christmas Parade.

Forgetfulness, Blogging

About ten days ago was my seventh anniversary of blogging. Reflecting on this led to some realizations:

First, I am a much different blogger than I am when I first started. Then, I posted whatever was on my mind. Blogging was so new, and so few people read, I felt safe to say anything. Now, I don’t.

This is an ecclectic blog, and it doesn’t fit in with any of the blogging subcultures. That’s okay. I made my first 18 months or so of blogging semi-private after taking a short break to start anew, and I actually think I’ve been pretty consistent since then in my ecclecticism. That’s who I am.

It’s amazing to think of how many of you kind readers have stuck around, some of you have “watched” me grow into an adult. I started blogging the fall of my sophomore year of college. And having lived in four different states in those seven years, this is probably the most consistent community in my life apart from my family and my closest friends.

Thanks for reading.

Day 6

6/25
I heart teacher gifts.

Links I Did Not Steal from Gaines

+ Another reason to be proud of our alma maters.

+ I don’t care for Ellen but this with Jenna Bush was pretty funny.

+ Another Christmas album you can stream: Jars of Clay’s Christmas Songs

+ A few favorites from photo shoots of families and babywearers are on flickr. Constructive criticism is always helpful!

Day 5

5/25
My first gift of the season.

It’s Hip to Be Square

I’ve decided that I’m going to do the entire December Photo Project with square crops. Because squares are cool and because I can.

Day 4

4/25
The lone candle of the first week of Advent.

Day 3

3/25
The wonderful Moseleys had us over for dinner and Lexi practiced touching things with just one finger on their tree.
