It is that time of year again. The part in which a host of generous souls feel like giving me gifts for some reason. I haven’t done this in a while, so I’ve decided to splurge and buy myself some books, but I don’t know which to buy (or rather, how to select which ones I shouldn’t buy!)
Recommendations?
Right now Rob and I are reading Robert Farar Capon’s book on the Parables of Jesus. I am forgetting the name at the moment but it is pretty darn good.
if you havent read Gilead, you really must.
Anything by Po Bronson. Seriously. Also, it’s about time for you to get to reading both Robertson Davies and Mark Helprin to learn what fiction can really do to a person.
And yes, Gilead is a must read as well.
