Driving around this week I put Behold the Lamb of God on in the car for the first time this year (I’ve been listening to it a lot on my iTunes.) The first track began,
“Gather round ye children come,
Listen to the old old story
Of the power of death undone
By an infant born of glory
Son of God, Son of Man”
Kate called out to me from the back seat, “That’s JESUS!”

This is my new favorite Christmas album. i was fortunate enough to hear Andrew Peterson do this live many years ago before there was a CD, with a band from SC (where I live) called Silar’s Bald. One of the best, most theologically sounds Christmas CDs out there. Last year some of us from my church performed the songs at our Christmas banquet. If you like his stuff, you should check out Jamie Soles, a canadian musician who writes really good children’s music. He also has this great CD of adult music called Ascending, which is all the Psalms of Ascent set to music. His website is:www.solmusic.ca
