A Product Recommendation

You all know that I love slings and think every new parent should have one. Well, I have come up with another necessary item that we didn’t have with Kate and can’t live without now that we have one with Lexi: a miracle blanket. Swaddling is so much easier and they are guaranteed for life! We have a neutral, natural colored one (no border) so it is nice and gender neutral and I plan to use it with all our kids. Unlike other swaddling blankets, there is no velcro to make noise or get fuzz stuck in it. We started using it when Lexi was only an hour old. She does fight being swaddled sometimes, but she loves it once she’s cozy and she sleeps for a LONG time. If you get one and don’t love it, they’ll refund your money, no restocking fee. It would make a WONDERFUL gift for new parents, too.

  1. I’ve always swaddled all of mine in a receiving blanket. It works just fine.

  2. By 2.5 weeks, both of mine could get out of any receiving blanket swaddle. *shrug* I do have strong babies (they weight bear on their legs from birth and try to stand, etc.) but they are on the small side. I know people who have used miracle blankets for as long as six months!

  3. that looks pretty cool.

  4. Yeah, I never got a good swaddle-wrap technique perfected. I would have loved that miracle blanket. (Even though I like to think I eschew baby gadgets.)
