I have a wonderful valentine: flowers, dark chocolate, Andrew Peterson’s new CD preordered and a date at our favorite cafe with the cutest 8 week old on the block.
Kate is getting her eyeteeth. We’re on about day 11 of the trauma. They are so much worse than any other teeth. She wakes up completely hysterical and shrieking. She’s like a different person from the pain and missed sleep. Hopefully they will all be in soon, because I miss normal Kate.
Hey, are you guys aware that AP is playing in Richmond on the 25th? I don’t think we’ll make it on a Saturday night… but you guys ought to go.
We’d love to go, but I’m hoping to get on the street team so we only have to pay for a sitter for Kate and not a sitter AND tickets.
Ah. That’s good sense. :)
The whole buying-a-house thing is cramping my style ;o)
If the ST doesn’t work out, I’ll try to hit up one of our free sitters, we usually take her over to their homes though (all families from school) and I’d really like her to be at home so she can sleep.
That’s so odd! Jay’s eyeteeth were the first ones to come in on top. He looked a little bit like a vampire =] I think he may be getting in some more molars, though. He was really fussy after dinner yesterday and spent from about 11:45 to 1:15 last night fussing unless one of us was doing a good job rolling him in his crib. Ugh.
the eye teeth were always the worst for my babies too. ibuprofen at bedtime often helped them last for several hours of sleep. hang in there and i promise it will not last forever!
I am sorry for Kate’s painful teething, but also reassured that my Emma is not the only one missing a lot of sleep and waking up crying at night from it. She’s teething all 4 eye/canine teeth right now–one is already through, but still 3 more to come. They’re red and swollen, and we’re both tired and cranky.
Thank God for Hyland’s teething tablets!
