If you are looking for a place to contribute to hurricane relief, consider the deacon’s fund at John Knox PCA in Ruston. Members of the church have taken in a number of families, some extended family and others strangers. The Red Cross does have a shelter in Ruston, but those not sleeping in the shelter cannot receive aid. One extended family in particular, strangers before this week, needs immediate help. The family consists of ten adults, five teenagers, four-8-11 year olds, and two infants. The church desires to see them and others in their midst through until they can return home, which obviously will take a while. Wal-mart gift cards, gas cards, cans of formula and cash donations will really help JKPCA to help them. If you want more info, contact Brad Bourgeois by leaving him a comment here or on his blog.
