Sad sad sad. We were at the game and the ‘Shoe was electric.
It was a great game though; actually lived up to its hype.
I honestly can’t feel too bad about losing by 3 to a team ranked above us, though.
And, Jen, (Although I, too, would have preferred the school up north to win; all the better when we knock them off at the end of the year [grin])
The polls only rank Texas high so that they can talk about whether or not they are over-rated.
It happens every year. Texas starting the year at #2 means nothing. I was really surprised to hear that some (TV personalities) predict that Texas would win. Most writers had OSU kicking the dickens out of Texas (again, proving them to be overrated … nasty cycle).
Kristen, my love. Roy is supposed to win National Titles. It is what he does. So, yes, when he does his job, we’re excited and celebrate.
Mack isn’t supposed to win big games. I think its a line in his contract. He’s supposed to choke. It’s what I experienced game in and game out in college. When he finally mananages to win two big games (Rose Bowl / OSU), let me gloat a little, eh?
Yeah, the questions is always, “When will Texas choke?”
I was a little teed off with the outcome. OSU’s linebackers looked great.
Great game… classic college football. Ohio State is one of three teams that I hate (Ohio State, Florida State, Notre Dame) so I was going for Texas. Ohio State does look like a great team this year, despite the loss.

Our linebackers rock. One of our corners is exceptional (note Texas only threw at him once) And I really wish we had played the short 5 yard pass game we’d played against Miami(OH) the week before rather than whatever it was we did this weekend. And stuck with one QB instead of going back and forth. Jason and I tend to prefer Zwick who seems to make better decisions, most Buckeyes seem to like Smith. Either one would have been preferable to both.
Trying to play two quarterbacks in a game is just a mess. Look back to Jason Applewhite and Chris Simms back in my undergrad days.

Sic ’em, Bears (even if UT is just another huge school that could beat the snot out of Baylor in football any day–at least we’ll always be smarter ;).
