We hope you have fun celebrating whatever you celebrate or don’t on this last day of October. Our church and friends aren’t doing anything special and Kate’s not permitted to eat candy by her mean mom, so we’ll take that as an excuse to bow out of celebrating this year. I predict an evening of curling up with the first season of House on DVD, awaiting us at the public library…

We Love House! I did not realize they had a season out on DVD. We’ll have to check that out.
Hubby got Alias season four at our library this weekend. *Grin*
I like how you said that ;o)
My first child ate plain yogurt and wheat germ.
Second child loved his cheetos.
Third Child, Trix.
Fourth Child, whipped yogurt and popsicles.
I wish our library had tv dvds.
We stayed home, read a fascinating article by James Jordan in the Veritas Epistula aloud, and I cleaned a couple cupboards in the kitchen. My husband handed out the candy and I had more fun listening to him: “No! Don’t take the Reeses. They’re my favorite. You guys are killing me! Whatsamatter – don’t you like Butterfingers? Take them. Common now.” He put some weird mask on. One boy, sevenish, said, “You don’t scare me!” Curt gave him three treats for saying that.
I shamed our music guy at church into singing A Mighty Fortress as our opening hymn. Otherwise there was no mention or allusion to Reformation Day.
Kristen, I just noticed that you read Gilead. What did you think? I was disappointed with Housekeeping. I checked out Gilead (one week for new books) and had to take it back unread due to time constraints. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
