Things I Like About Our Front Porch

It’s big — big enough for Kate to ride her tricycle on and have a kiddie pool on with lots and lots of room to spare.

It’s made of concrete — making the above activities kosher.

It’s got a good, fat side for sitting even though we don’t have a porch swing yet.

It’s got a great view of the neighborhood.

  1. Have you any pictures of it yet? Glad to hear it’s all going so well.

  2. Yay! I was thinking about you guys as I was in AL this week (though much, much farther south than where you are). I pray you would be able to “go all Kuyper” on your neighborhood (as Barlow coined) by way of your new front porch! May you be blessed in your new home…..

and pictures of the girls on the porch in that kiddie pool would be just too cute!

  3. porches totally rock. i’m so happy for you, especially for all of the activity your porch will get. you need some lanterns to hang, no? :)

  4. Fun! I do wish our front porch was bigger. And not 16 steps from the sidewalk!

    Hope you’re settling in well.

  5. Hmmm… I wonder if we could find a pool small enough for our porch. Jay would love it!

  6. Sheena, we need to take new pictures as we get things done around the house :o)

Allison, thanks for the prayers, we want to go all Kuyper, so we\’re happy for you to join with us in prayer.  When we finally get together, I\’ll have to pick your brain for ideas.
Mollie, we do need lanterns, any suggestions? I love your taste!

Serina, it\’s taking a while to get settled in, but we\’re hopeful for the future.

Lenise, ours is pretty small and cost about $4 at the-especially-evil-big-box-store.
